On May 23rd, the President of the Norwegian Red Cross Mr. Thorvald Stoltenberg came to the Chinese Embassy in Oslo to sign the condolence book for the Sichuan earthquake victims. On behalf of the Norwegian Red Cross, he expressed deep grief over the tragic loss that the Chinese people suffered, and spoke highly of the Chinese government, the Red Cross and its people for the courage, efficiency and capacity in the rescue and relief efforts. He said that apparently this catastrophe has brought the Norwegian people and Chinese people closer, and that the Norwegian Red Cross would continue to render full support to the relief work of the Chinese people.
