Message from Ambassador Wang Min

Welcome to the website of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Norway. Thank you for following the development of China, as well as that of the Sino-Norwegian relations.

Norway is among the first in the West to have established diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China. Sino-Norwegian relationship has maintained steady progress for a long time. However, the Nobel Committee's awarding of the 2010 Peace Prize and the related matters seriously violated China's sovereignty, resulting in the long time difficulty of Sino-Norwegian relations. After six years' in-depth consultations, the Norwegian side is fully conscious of the position and concerns of the Chinese side. The two countries issued a statement on the normalization of bilateral relations on December 19, 2016. The Norwegian government articulated their commitments on issues concerning China's core interests and major concerns, and the normalization of bilateral relations was realized. Facts prove that a sound and steady bilateral relationship built on the basis of mutual respect is in the common interests of our two countries and peoples.

The Chinese Embassy in Norway is committed to developing friendly bilateral relations, promoting pragmatic cooperation between our two countries, and enhancing friendship between our two peoples. We would be more than willing to provide service to people from all walks of life in Norway, overseas Chinese, Chinese enterprises and students.

Thank you for continuing to surf our website. Your comments and suggestions on our work and the development of Sino-Norwegian relations will be highly appreciated.
