Further Notice on the Requirement of the Nucleic Acid rt-PCR and IgM Serum Antibody Tests

To reduce cross-border transmission of Covid-19 and minimize risks during travels, the Chinese Embassy in Norway published Notice on Airline Boarding Requirements for Certificates of Negative Nucleic Acid and Anti-Body Blood Tests Results on 1 November, 2020. Further instructions about those requirements are as follows.

1. Nucleic acid rt-PCR test report must include such terms as NAAT and rt-PCR. If possible, it should also specify sampling method, including pharyngeal swab, nasopharyngeal swab, etc.

2. IgM serum antibody test must be performed through venous blood sampling, and the test report must include the following terms: Serum, IgM, Antibody and Venous, etc. Finger-prick blood testing and rapid test are no longer accepted.

3. The Chinese Embassy in Norway kindly reminds all travelers of the risk of infection during long-distance travels and recommends travelers avoid all nonessential and non-urgent travels.
