In order to reduce cross-border transmission of Covid-19, starting from 7 November, 2020, all Chinese and foreign passengers who are to fly from Norway to China will be required to take nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests and then apply for a green health code with the "HS" mark or a certified health declaration form before boarding the flights. The specific requirements are as follows:

I. Test Requirements

In order to avoid cross-infection when transiting through multiple stops, passengers must fly from Norway to China through only one transit country. All passengers including those who set off from Norway to the transit country by self-driving or train, need to take tests and apply for HS Code or HDC Code within 48 hours before boarding their flights both in Norway and in the transit country.

Nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests in Norway have to be taken in registered medical institutions. The test certificates have to be in English and include test date, test result (negative), passengers' names, DOB, travel documents number etc., as well as telephone numbers or e-mail addresses of the institutions or doctors for verification.

Nucleic acid rt-PCR test report must include such terms as NAAT and rt-PCR. If possible, it should also specify sampling method, including pharyngeal swab, nasopharyngeal swab, etc.

IgM serum antibody test must be performed through venous blood sampling, and the test report must include the following terms: Serum, IgM, Antibody and Venous, etc. Finger-prick blood testing and rapid test are no longer accepted.

II. Chinese Citizens Applying for Green Health Code with the "HS" Mark

Chinese citizens must upload to the WeChat Health Code app photos of their negative nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests results, together with their itinerary and valid residence certificate, which will then be examined and verified by the Chinese Embassies/Consulates. Then they will get the green health code with the "HS" mark. Passengers must present the green code within its validity period to the airlines flying directly to China before boarding.

III. Non-Chinese Citizens Applying for Electronic Health Declaration Form

Non-Chinese passengers shall apply for the Electronic Health Declaration Form by logging on the website of http://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ via computer or smart phone, and fill in the information, declare the health status and upload the testing certificates and their itinerary and valid residence certificate online, which will then be examined and verified by the Embassy. Upon approval, they will receive the Electronic Health Declaration Form displayed as a QR code with a "HDC" mark. Non-Chinese passengers must present the electronic or printed code, and follow the procedures for inspection by relevant airlines during boarding.

IV. Reminder

Please read the requirements carefully and follow them accordingly. Failure to obtain the green health code with the "HS" mark or a certified health declaration form with negative nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests results means you will be refused to board the flight to China and will have to change your itinerary.

Please check the transit country's entry regulations and its nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests requirements beforehand. Failure to enter the transit country or meet the requirements regarding the tests, the green code or certified health declaration form could result in being stranded and heightened infection risks.
