On April 26, 2023, Ambassador Hou Yue visited Elkem and communicated with CEO Mr.Helge Aasen.

Ambassador Hou said that Elkem is one of the world’s leading providers of advanced silicon-based materials，and has many years of friendly cooperation with China. It witnessed the rapid development of China's economy and contributed to China-Norway economic cooperation. She hoped that Elkem will give full play to its own advantages, seize the development opportunities in China, and increase investment and technical cooperation with China. Chinese Embassy is willing to actively promote Elkem to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in China.

Mr.Helge Aasen warmly welcomed Ambassador Hou's visit and introduced Elkem's business development in China. He shared the views on the trend of the global silicon material market, and the company's consideration of new energy and green development in the future,and expressed willingness to strengthen cooperation in China in new material, energy transformation and green development.
